The next Annual General Meeting of the London Irish LGBT Network will be held on Zoom on 25 October 2023 at 19:30.
A detailed agenda and link to join the meeting will be sent out closer to the date.
At the AGM, following the Chair’s report, election of the officers and committee will take place in the following order:
- Chair
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Other committee members.
Other motions raised by members will also be voted on at the meeting.
Only members in full standing will be eligible to vote. To be in full standing, members should have their annual membership paid before 18 October 2023. Payment can be made to the PayPal account in the usual way.
There is no plan to have any guest speakers at this year’s AGM as a number of important organisational matters need to be covered.
Additional papers will be sent out the week before the meeting to members eligible to vote. Any members wishing to raise a motion at the meeting can submit that motion for inclusion in the pre-meeting papers.
Also, any members wishing to stand for election to any position may submit a brief summary about themselves and why they are standing so this can be included in the pre-meeting papers. This is particularly relevant for anyone wishing to stand as an officer, and who may not be currently well known amongst other members.
MEMBERSHIP
As part of our voting system at our AGM, it was previously recommended also that all Irish groups and societies have a minimal membership fee.
We’ll leave the link here for you to pay £5 membership or whatever you can afford.
Over the past year, we have been exceptionally lucky to receive a grant from the Emigrant Support Programme. This year, it paid for our web hosting and domain as well as our Zoom costs for meetings as well as promotional materials. However, we don’t have any extra money for any incidentals that may occur. This is what we use our membership monies for.

You may have heard of Patreon, a system where content creators or organisations can have a subscription where you get videos / blogs /perks earlier than everyone else. We have chosen a similar service called KO-FI.
