We are delighted to be teaming up with our friends from Opening Doors London for a special night of short films with Q&A and a social.

Join us on September 16th from 6pm for a social, followed by the screening of two award winning short films at 6.45pm, and finishing at 8pm.

This is a free event, however booking is required. You can book your tickets here. We’d love to see you!

Both of these films were choreographed by our very own committee member, James Berkery.

An upbeat drama about 14-year-old oddball Toni who is having a tough time with the bullies at school.

Toni, 13, doesn’t fit in at school. One day, after her situation takes a dive, the internet unexpectedly comes to save her. toni_with_an_i is about individuality, isolation, and how the internet can provide much needed community from afar. Think Little Miss Sunshine meets Matilda for the digital age.

toni_with_an_i was commissioned as part of the BFI/BBC Born Digital Scheme made in collaboration with Plimsoll Productions. toni_with_an_i premiered at the BFI in NFT1 on March 12th and was then broadcast on BBC 4.
